"It's beginning to look alot like christmas...."

Now we're talkin'. This is our kind of dinner. um-um-um! Mom, this did not come
from our side of the family!

What's a Christmas without gingerbread house making! Julie was thrilled at this idea. "One piece for the house, two for me!"

Joseph and his creation of an adobe hut home. Notice his army man
in the back on a sled? Way to go Joseph, don't look too thrilled!

See what those fancy Harry and David magazines can do for you? (cuz none of us can afford anything in them) I saw the sled in one of them and was insistent upon trying to re-create it. I'll be darned, it looks exactly the same. Rick and I spent hours after the kids went to bed on several nights measuring, figuring, eating some candy, cutting, baking, eating some candy, glueing, eating some candy and decorating. It was a ton of fun, and not just because the kids were in bed either - although it did have something to do with it.

The presents and trees are my favorite. The candy is Julie's.

Now this was a BEAUT to create. I found a picture and took it to Rick and his siblings and they came up with the dimentions. What a nightmare to figure it all out, but they did good. I googled patterns for churches and it told me that there were currently no patterns but that I could be the first to post. Yeah right, not after all that they went thru. We'll have to put a patten on it first.

That looks like so much fun! Definitely my definition of it looks too good to eat. I think the christmas trees are my favorite.

Nope, we're not blowing this one up. But if you ask me in 3 weeks, my mind might change due to being sick of looking at it! HI BROOKE!!

Oh do we miss all that fun!! :(
You are all amazing - and yes, Hi to Brooke. No one here makes candy houses, but they decorate lots. And you couldn´t find that kind of candy anyway. Pretty much everything is chocolate. Will you just STOP making us homesick?

Karina, I love it - way to go with the obscure tres amigos reference! You make me laugh!

ReNae & Rick - that's so cool. I love the houses. I want to pour milk all over your church and eat that cinnamon toast crunch! I agree with Jared - a couple of fire crackers in about 3 weeks would be the proper way to dispose of this thing...
