Everyone wants to be the bus driver. Isn't that right Jared? She still only has her drivers permit and actually isn't in that big of a hurry to get her license which is just fine by us (one less person on the insurance). I was off last Thursday so Ruth and I headed to St. George for the Snow Canyon Invitational.
First event for her was the 110 meter hurdles. I think she finished 4th in her heat. 
300 meter hurdles is her best event. The girl in lane 4 from Cedar is the current state champ and record holder in this event. Allyson finished 2nd behind her catching the runner from Dixie in lane 3 just before the last set of hurdles. 
She wanted to break 49 seconds but ended up with a time of 50.81 and I think this was her reaction when she found out her time. It was still good enough for the 2nd best overall time.
Happy April 1st Birthday. Dallin had to wait until I got home from work that day before we celebrated. He always gets tortured with dumb presents since his birthday falls on this day. Last year he opened things like a Dora Kite, new kitchen garbage can and a sippee cup. This year he got necklace candy, monkey plate and bowl and star wars easter egg coloring kit. He's now officially a teenager.
Dallins class had a career day about a month ago and they each had to make a display highlighting a career they'd be interested in. He chose a 'Monkey trainer' of all things and so Ruth decided to make a monkey cake for his birthday. Ding dongs for the ears, black jelly beans for the mouth and looks like she stole the eyes off the pile of money you could save by switching to Geico. It actually tasted more like grizzly bear however. 
Since labs are people too Parker got to have some soda. It's so much more fun to drink out of the bottle since it then doubles as a chew toy that lasts pretty much until you can't take the snappin' sound it makes any longer. Spoiled dog!

DANG ALLY, you are one good looking bus driver! everybody wants to be like me...Congrats on the second place finish. (I had lots of those too). Will you get another crack at her? I think you can take home the gold if you do. Keep it up. Happy b-day dallin, you're so lucky that you can get cool stuff like garbage cans and sippee cups, man all I ever got was race cars and fireworks but that stuff is boring!
anybody else notice parker licking his chops and just waiting for everyone to turn their heads so he can sink those chompers of his into that chocolate monkey cake? Probably tastes a little better than mickenzies shoes that trooper always munched on! I never understood why she would let him chew on her brand new pumps...
Ally - hey your shoes are untied in the bus foto. But, girl you rock. You have the best form. There is a straight line from left to right. Your left foot is just barely clearing the hurdle. Form enhances speed. You will fly by that girl in the finals. Besides, you are the cutest girl there. Bring home the GOLD!!!
Dallin - Teach parker to roll over on his back and then he can drink and chew at the same time. I think he learned that trick from his dad. Happy birthday to you, I wish we could have a piece of monkey cake. P.S. Parker's coat is awesome.
