Is it time for Kris Kringle or for the Easter Bunny??

I guess there are advantages and disadvantages to living at elevations of over 6500+ ft. You would think because we are so far south and so close to St. George that on the saturday morning before Easter you wouldn't have a couple of inches of snow on the ground. Whatever! I'm super excited about the upcoming summer up here. It's going to be great!

Anyway, maybe it WAS time for Kris Kringle. If you don't already know I have accepted a position with the Forest Circus working from home for a group within that agency that is called the USFS Enterprise TEAM. It consists of about 140 people who basically function as private consultants with the federal govt. So, I'm still only required to work 40 hours a week, and I will still receive all the benefits of working for the feds (minus free universal health care, uncle Obama paying off my mortgage, lots and lots of "clean" energy, and lots and lots of 'change'). Anyway, that means I have a few more weeks in Caliente and I'm back here working from home. It is a huge blessing. No commuting, no supervisors looking over your back (my supervisor will be in North Dakota), flexible schedules (for the most part), etc. I will have to travel some...although it should be to jobs all over the place which will add diversity to my workload and help me to network and make contacts all over the place. They say there is a lot of work in Alaska......anyone up for fishing for halibut and hunting for caribou.
Anyway, hope your Easter is filled with less snow and many many more Cadbury creme eggs......mmmmmmmm, I could eat a dozen of those in one sitting.

Rick I am totally up for fishing and hunting in Alaska some day (or BC, if you ever get to go there).

That's great news about the job, Rick. I can't believe how flexible it is! You could walk around in your PJs all day - beats my office, where a suit/tie is standard attire, even on Fridays...

Hey, count me in on Alaska . . . I'll drive. Rick, isn't having a "Supervisor in South Dakota" an oxymoron? Congratulations! Go shoot a jack rabbit with your bow to celebrate. --jay

Yah, I'm up for Alaska! Hey we could all do the Alaskan cruise and Rick could even work while he plays too!

Work while he plays. Now thats a whole new perspective! Great one Karina. Rick, does the gov. have projects here in Brazil? Like rainforest stuff and saving the monkeys which would be more fun than saving the turtles? Work on one so ya can come here and work and play.

Hey. 4/9ths of the siblings think so.

(Yes, I AM including Mickenzie in that figure. Even though she's still too tall to be believable as a sistuh.)
