"Bravo - Bravo - Bravisimo!" (sing with voice effects) Well, Rick fixed me to happier! The day before my birthday we were planning out our day (he had just come home from 5 days of a California work assignment) when all of the sudden he told me to forget everything I had planned because "your birthday starts in a few hours - so pack your bags! We are leaving for 2 days!" I needn't say anymore about my excitement!
YES!!!! He took me to see Phantom at the Venetian in Vegas. It was phenomenal! I was depressed that it was coming to an end. This is a NEED in all of your lives. You have to go and see it. Absolutely STUNNING! The music, the lights, the stage, the special affects, the opera house, the voices, the Chandelier, the phantom, the orchestra, the romance, the costumes and the MUSIC!!!!! Amazing. (not to mention all the "people watching" entertainment before the show started!)
We also stayed at The Venetian which was so fun. (on the 30th floor) I have never been to vegas and don't ever want to live there, but it was really fun to be by ourselves and walk the strip in the day light before all the freaks came out. (thank you again Karina and Alex!)
So we walked into some of the hotels. This was in the Bellagio's atrium. It was so beautifully decorated with fall decor. Can you believe the size of this pumpkin? And up on top, that was just a funny tree thing. His eyes followed you, it was a little creepy!

Here is Rick in front of Treasure Island. This was going to be a good pirate ship fight, but they couldn't perform it due to high winds. We went to "New York - New York" and rode the roller coaster. See it there behind Miss Liberty?
Well, we have lots more pictures, but it takes forever to upload these things. Anyway, it was such a fun present from Rick. I recommend it to all ya'll.

"Your birthday starts in two hours?" Good job, Rick! You guys are awesome and I'm glad you got to see that show. It is amazing. I agree, I wouldn't want to live there, but what a fun place to visit. Adios!

(In a singing voice to ReNae for finally posting) "Where..in the world....have you...been hiding?"
What a fun birthday! It sounds so perfect! Tell me about the food you ate. Anything delectible? And what was the chandelier like/pyrotechnics?
Man, are you spoiled! :) Sounds like SUCH a fun weekend. Las Vegas is very fun but I wouldn't live there in a million years either if I could avoid it.
Happy 25th, Sha-nae-nae!
Yes I am spoiled - at least during those days I was. Good one Becky! And as for the 'diva' of blogging I do say to you in my best Meg singing voice "....I only wish I knew your secret....." I'm serious. The family blog is so fun to read, but I'm wipped out at the end of the day due to a certain little high maintenance menace! Just ask Karina, she had to watch her for 2 days.
Isn't all food delectible when you are hungry?
Oh man, the Chandelier? It was in 5 pieces all floating around over our heads whilst the orchestra belted out the introduction as the entire opera house changed into a live setting. It was AMAZING! I wanted to stand up and yell "do it again!" You will just have to call me for details.
