(disclaimer: This is probably understood by only Jay, Jana, Brooke, Erin, and Kathy. )
So, guess what?
E.C. agreed to do an interview with me- yes ME!! I am stoked, so excited. His voice really is as musical as depicted in the books. I had to keep saying to myself, "listen to his answers, you dummy!" Phew. Let me catch my breath so I can begin.
Wait-a-second. Are you kidding?
What?
You don't know who E.C. is? Edward Cullen? From the Twilight series, et al.?
(awkward moment)
Let's all wait while Kathy implores you to read this book, dare I say she'll agree that you simply can't be in good standing to her without having read THIS VERY SERIES.
I guess you'll have to go read a few books (which are praiseworthy and of good report) first, then come back here.
(Mickenzie, your secret's safe with me, we won't let Kathy know what you haven't done yet...)
ME: So, Edward, lets get right into it. What was it you saw in Bella? I mean, she's a pretty clumsy girl, right? Why Bella?
EC: (musically speaking,) I suppose the moment I inhaled her sweet fragrance I was drawn in to her. So lavender-ish. And the fact that I couldn't read her mind drove me mad. And the fact that words words words words words ..... (See, what I mean? I was dazzled by him, simply dazzled. Coudn't concentrate on a whole sentence with his musical voice.)....and I needed her to be safe.
ME (snapping out of it, chills still running up my spine): Uh, huh. But yet, you can't read my mind, and I am simply covered in fresh lavender clippings from my herb garden, so what's the difference? Why not fall for a girl like me? Is it because I have a stumpy little neck?
EC: Bella...needed...me. I...needed....her. We....neeeded....each...other.
ME: oh brother. Don't you think that's a little sappy? I mean, are you saying that no one else can love the way you two love?
EC: I'm not saying that you shouldn't try (to love), I'm just saying, not now.
ME: What? Wait, that was what you kept saying in the book.
EC: It's a bit of a ...complication.
ME: Um, again, you've already used that line. frequently. How about you describe Bella. We'd really like to see her through your eyes.
EC: She's beautiful, although I wouldn't use that word to compare her to anything (like the moon). She' s more beautiful than that.
ME: Oh for Heaven's sake, could you please be more descriptive?!
EC: Well, to her, I always feel cold as...ice...and hard, like stone...But to me, she's a delicate flower, and always warm.
Well, as you can see, I got nowhere with the interview. I hereby decree Edward Cullen to be as boring and nondescript as...cold....stone.
So who's read them all?
And Kathy, give us your full-fledged opinion on the matter. Don't hold back, girl.

Sorry Aunt Becky! I've only read one and two. Scotland doesn't carry those books-I didn't even know there WAS a fourth one out until I saw a books with a huge white chess piece with a itty bitty red one behind it at Costco with Stephanie Meyers name on it...Or maybe the colors were vice-versa...
So, Did you like it?
Becky, you could be an author, too! Great writing, I had to read it all (you know, your interview)! Stephanie Meyers was just hoping to pay off her van ($10,000) with the contract for these books and they originally promised her $500,000, I read, while waiting in a Dr.'s waiting room for Eli's appt. recently, and now she's a multi-millionaire from ALL of her books and her husband quit his job to stay at home with their three young boys while she writes. Jay would like to do that. But I'm not an author! Anyway, I've only read the first book but know some of our YW who waited in line for hours before the last one was released and one went home and read it all the very next day! Crazy!
Oh for the Love... Gag Me!
sheesh, all I really want to know is - WHERE IS 'ONE NATHAN UNDER GOD' WHILST DELINEATING SUCH A TIME-SQUANDERING YET BETTER FINISH READING IT ALL NARRATION BEWEEN YOU AND YOUR FAIRY TALE FRIENDS? No folks, my name was not on that list. She knows me all too well. Kathy???? You there???? Did you start all this madness? I mean seriously, where do you all buy your time? Ok I confess, I had a little of it tonight. Jessica, Joseph and I watched TRANSFORMERS!! Oh yeah. Not to worry, i did fast forward a few parts but if I were a 6, 7, 8, 9 or 36 year old I would be asking Santa Clause this year for every action figure made known to mankind of the TRANSFORMERS! It is AWESOME. After all - I AM OPTIMAS PRIME. (better use voice effects here.)
so funny becky, I hope you'll be doing more interviews!
If only I could be as romantic, charming, handsome, melodious, romantic, mysterious, amazing, romantic, strong, musical, conflicted, romantic, and as beautiful as Edward Cullen. Also, I wish I could be as romantic.
Very funny Becky! Yeah, I'm not reading that series, mostly because I don't believe in vampires, and because Acts 15:29 says we should abstain from blood...
But I did just finish reading all 3 Bourne Identity, Supremacy, and Ultimatum books! 98% Not the same as the movie. Completely different, except for the part about him having amnesia and being a trained assassin.
Sorry, I've been in California for a few days and hadn't read the blogs until just now.
Yes, I'm still reading and haven't finished the last one. I was partying too hard with my sisters and mom in Sacramento. So don't tell me the ending, okay!? I'll tell you what I think of it when I'm done. Right now, I'm reading Jacob's narration and I don't really like Jacob so it's getting old. Werewolves: so WT.
And I did, in fact, go with a friend to a book store at midnight to buy it! Yes, I'm 32, what of it?!
Something funny: my bishop here dated Stephenie Meyer and they were each other's first kiss! His wife has asked him if he was sad about not marrying her because he'd be a millionaire by now. He's happy he didn't marry her.
And ReNae, I MAKE time for really important things, okay?
See? I told you Kathy would not dissapoint.
Scott, I bet Bruce would love those books. He'll be glad for that recommendation, because he's so bored not having anymore vampire books around...his withdrawal hasn't been easy on me at all.
I'm glad you know someone who knows Stephanie Meyer, Kathy- again, you didn't let me down.
nahhh...I didn't like 'em much. They were to wacko
Lemme set the record straight. I read the first 150 pages of Twilight because Becky's fascination with the book made me curious. I lost interest because it was so sappy, and there was never any biting of necks. How can you have a loving vampire that doesn't bite any necks and turn anyone into the living dead? I say Edward is a pansy.
And no silver bullets vs. werewolves? What gives?
Bruce
I'm with ReNae and Karina. Go Go Heber C. Kimball, and John Beck, and Parley P. Pratt, and Portuguese for Missionaries. And Frog and Toad together.
And (gag)
12 entries? See what you started, Becky? Now there are 13. Had to check when I saw that number. It's Ok, Kathy, don't let 'em bug you. You go right ahead and read all those books and then tell us about them. I liked the first book, but didn't like the time it took to get through it and having to let everything else go until I finished it. So, I can't do that again for awhile. Do you think I could just read the cliff notes?
Mom, I like Frog and Toad, too. And A boy, A dog and a Frog. But I don't like frogs.
