One little two little three little blessings from above (okay, four-with reservations)

( When Kara grows up, she wants to be a mother)

Here are the ones who made Mother's Day possible for me...

(and here they all literally rise up and call me mother)

Some tidbits about my day:

  • Caleb's 2nd grade recipe book (1st mother's day present) proclaimed that "corndogs" are his favorite thing his mother makes. (Quit thinking "Does that mother of his ever cook?" I know.) He wrote how to make corndogs "wrap thin bread aroud a hot dog and bake". Mmm (Hey, at least I wasn't the mother of the kid who said "TV dinners were his favorite")

  • I received about 15 mothers day presents, all handmade of course, from the male children.(Kara put them to shame. Every DAY for the last week she made me at least 15 pictures/cards as well as hourly reminders and questioning as to the upcoming event (What holiday is after Mother's Day? Do we put up balloons?)

And Kara is the epitome of Janice Kapp Perry's "When I grow up". She's never heard the song, but her constant stream of questions make me wonder what she'll write someday. "Is your favorite thing being a mom? Was I so cute when I was born? (uhhhhhhmmm, eventually) Do you like yellow balloons? (just kidding, that would be really uncanny.)

So, how was your mother's day? What stuff did you get?

FYO - it wasn't janice kapp perry, it was Janeen Brady who wrote the song. But, who cares, it was a very popular song with the female posterity. If you want my books, you can have them. (Brady's)

Your presents for Mother's day, really really are the kids. What a blessing! Your pictures are so cute of all of you - even the questionable one.

What's up with Kara hiding her face and not wanting the photo shoot?

Love the suits. That inspires me to make suits for my 3 boys. Kidding! Buy.

Sorry mother. I knew that was the wrong one, but I was too lazy to think that hard about it.

And Eric had to have a suit for school. They all had to pick a person for an oral book report, & had to dress as that person. Eric chose Pres. Hoover. (???WHY???)

But that's a whole nother story.

Whoo whoo! Cute mamma! Sounds like you had a fun day. I just got lots of smiles for my first Mother's Day. Best present a mom can get from a baby boy!
I better come and learn how to make home-made corndogs from you. Then I can be the coolest mom on the block like you! :)
