Look what Eric and I got to do today

Today was "4th Grade Ski Day" at Lomond View Elementary. All 4th graders, plus any willing parents, got to come. The kids had a 2 hr ski lesson, and then we joined up and skied with the kids for the rest of the day. Eric has a new favorite sport. Note the good form on his "snowplow" above.

This is at the top of the highest lift at Snowbasin, where you can see over to the other side--down there somewhere is Becky with the rest of our brood.

He wasn't even tired.

I skied in the morning with Eric's best friend's dad. Our testosterone got the better of our judgment, and we had to try to ski the run where the Olympic men's downhill race was held. This is me coming down at about 15 mph. The dark thing at the top of the hill is the shack where the Olympians start; by the time they get where I am they are going 60-70mph--crazy!.

A perfect day.

Bruce

Hey Eric, that is cool man. I put on skiis the other weekend for the first time too. It's not easy, but it's pretty fun.
Also, I've been in that same spot on top of the mountain at basin where you can see to the other side, it took us like 20 min to hike there though because we had snow boards, had to take them off and carry them. We also went down the same olympic run, it is incredibly steep and not for the wimps. Guess they're only 2 real men in this family! Lets pick a saturday some time and go ski!

Way to go Eric. Skiing is so fun. You finally get the hang of it and then your parents make you go home!! Awesome photos--Bruce did you try a jump? So different to see fluffy stuff! Barbara

Very nice pics, Bruce and Eric. Eric, you look like you know what you're doing on those skiis. Jared - you and Bruce can go down the Olympic run and taunt all you want ... you're not gettin' me down such a steep slope! (at least, not until i've worked up to it!)

OK, so I've never been skiing, and I would love to try if I was 30 again. You look like you had a ball, and those are great photos. And all you techies, I can't get a photo on my comments like you cool people. Maybe our internet was just slow. Mom
