So I've been trying to post these for ever now, but logging in is a joke. Finally got it figured out. This place had the most awesome scenery, and the most gorgeous fish (cut throat trout to be precise). We fished and rode quads up here basically the whole day. Utah really has some gorgeous land. We were told we were somewhere close to 10,000 feet.
I know, just a little guy, but i fished this sucker out of the water on my first cast and it didn't take 10 seconds for me to get him to bite. Now if the girls would just do the same thing!! Gotta stop wearing that Stetson i guess. We caught some larger, maybe 14 inchers later in the day and cooked em up. Put a strip of bacon in them, rapped them in tin foil and grilled them. Man it was good.

Don't know it this is interesting to ya'll but this is on Powder Mountain. We're building condo's about as high up as it gets and it's freezing cold up there. You can see Logan on one side and right through the ogden canyon on the other. It is a cool view.

Jared - even tho you told us about this, the pictures are awesome, and I bet you had to hike there somewhat. And you hate hiking. (or did you really ride quads everywhere) So, have you changed your mind. I'd like to go there even. Glad you love Utah scenery - we have thought it was great since 1964. Take us there someday cuz we're still young enough to do it this year at least.
No, we didn't hike one bit. Rode the quads everywhere. But hiking to fish wouldn't bother me one bit. Unfortunately, this was a private ranch (about 10,000 acres). We were only able to go because one of the guys there was rob's best friend's son and he is a guide/outfitter and has leased the land from the owner so he can take people hunting on it. So we probably won't be able to go there.
Hi,
It's me: Jana. Thanks for posting the pics--nice to see new stuff on here every now and then. I have never caught a fish, so that picture looked good to me! Eli was sitting on my lap when we viewed the blog, so of course we were looking for tractors in that picture of the condo development.
Those fish must have been delicious, especially since you "rapped" them first!! (wrapped) --it's the teacher in me, I guess :) Have a great weekend!
Hah! funny. Can't believe i wrote rapped. Anyway, i'll take some pics of the tractors next time i'm up there. They are pretty big.
