The Most Unusual Christmas Ever- Rio Quente

The trip was gruelling - a 12 hour bus ride each way - no sleep to speak of, but the area and resort were as they say in Brazil, "Muito Lindo" - Very Beautiful. We just loved the scenery and pools of water.

The most beautiful area cannot even be captured in a single photo. I need a giant panoramic photo for you all.

Dad always has fun - wherever, with whoever, and whenever. I love him.

This is our Christmas dinner photo - the food looked wonderful, but was NOT. None of us liked it very well - the shrimp was completely strange, and everything else was too. Presentation is not everything afterall. But then again, they are known for water fun, not food fun.

Our group photo - all the missionary couples on the steps of the Hotel.

This sign was telling us about what Uncle Lee used to tell us before we let the kids swim in his pool. Only it never had his last sentence. But, the word for it is xixi. Funny.

These are the pipes that you use tubes for - they are dark inside, and a lot of fun. We did this over and over. Every time Dad came out, he was thrown over in the water. He could not stay upright on exiting the tubes - which were way way long. So fun.

At our age, no one should go down the HALF PIPE - but we did - and I won´t do it again. Way scarey.

These little hills in the field are ANT HILLS - really big ones. There were everywhere on the way to Goias. Green, but anty nonetheless.

Looking at all your Christmas photos makes me want to sing, "Mele kalikimaka is the thing to say on a bright Brazilian Christmas day!" (I had to look the spelling up on that one!)

Great pictures! I'm so impressed that you did that water tube! I love that kind of stuff but I haven't done in is sooo long!
