EMBU

Wow, how fun to get out of town for a couple of hours with friends. Embu was QUIET - peaceful -
no traffic noise, and a great German lunch. Here, were real streets like Dad remembered from his mission - the paralelipipidos. See us? We found lots of vendors, lots of little trinkets, and bought almost nothing. Just sightseeing. But, we'll go back again---------cause I did find something for later.

This is what the entryways of most of the little shops look like. You go into tiny little holes, they have aisles only wide enough to barely get through without knocking something over. Fun. And again, that's it for today. We sure had a funny email from Karina. Sometimes she can be totally blonde. Ask her. (not that any of the rest of us, including the boys, haven't been blonde in our lives)

Wow, looks like fun. are you bringing home any of those cow hides I see in the far left of the picture? Also, what the heck is a parrallelipipdo?
So did you "OYM" while in the marketplace there? --scott

Now that looks fun! Great pictures, there, Mom and Dad.

Scott, don't you remember? Dad taught us that a brick road is a "pod- a- lily- pee- pee- dos". We repeated it over and over because it sounded so funny to us. And he taught us that funny portuguese song about a fish that goes "como pojee pace ee vivo..." Of course, those spellings are incorrect, but you get the idea. I guess you were too young. Now what the heck is "OYM"? On your mark?
