Cameron Isaac Brooks

Just a few quick & early pics of the latest addition to the family. He certainly surprised us by being born about 2.5 weeks early, but boy are we glad to have him. If any of you want to come hold him, just drive on down to NM for a visit!

We dropped off Jacob and Samuel at the Wittwer's (some friends of ours) house around 4:30 am Monday, and sped to the hospital. We made it just in time! Cameron was delivered by the triage nurses (who didn't even have time to move her to a delivery bed!) after we'd been there only 30 minutes. (I say that should qualify for a discount on the bill...) I guess we cut it close by waiting a bit too long before going to the hospital.

Other than that it was smooth sailing (well, for me anyway!) and Kathy did an excellent job. She is doing very well now and is recovering nicely (she walks around like nothing ever happened ... she probably would have made a good pioneer). Cameron squeals like pig when he cries, and man it is so funny to hear him (but very cute too). I skipped out on the circumcision - I saw Jacob's and seeing it once is good enough to last the rest of the boys born in this family. No sense torturing yourself by watching again (seems like it hurts...).

Love, Scott

check out that head! (at least he has more hair than I do!).
This is the quilt Kathy made for Cameron ("receiving blanket"?). Very krafty, eh? and this is a photo of him in the clothing he wore home from the hospital.

SCOTT!! You win the award for the fastest pictures on the blog! So fun to see your wee man!! And I think Kathy was built for birthing babies! Way to go Kathy for a short labor. How is Sam gettin on with Cam?!! Sounds cute--Sam and Cam. You could write a new book called "I am Sam," and "Cam I am." Well, give him a kiss for all of us. He is so cute. Congrats to the new parents. Now you are a family of 5!

Love, Barbara

Kathy I love the quilt. The colors are awesome together. I'll take one, (King size, please).

Cameron looks like he fits right in with the other boys. Lot chubbier than Jake, though. And he does have more hair than you, Scott, but that's not really that hard to do. Rick Baxter said he was going to send Bruce some spray on hair stuff, I'm sure he could send some your way!

So are you ready for that full marathon now?

Wow, your really do act fast - both of you - fast getting #26 here, and fast on the blog with photos. I thought he was #27 for us, but Barbara adds better than we do. Hey, he's soooo cute. And such a cute family too. We love you Kathy - you're great. Mom

What a cute baby! Congrats! We are so excited Lincoln, Jill and Cameron are so close together. Think they'll be able to play together at the farewell? :)

I love the blanket too, such fun materials and colors. What a cute bunch of Brooks' brothers. They should be on a commercial for the clothing brand! :)

Hey! What happened to my comments? I was the first one, for the record, but I guess I didn't click on "publish". Are you surprised? Well, I wanted you to know I think Cameron is adorable. I want to kiss his cheeks (that close-up picture that shows all that blonde hair is really sweet). Congrats!!! Can't wait to see him!

Man, what a cute little boy! It's amazing how he fits the mold! It will be fun having the 3 littlest so close in age (that means they have to get together alot to play!!!!)
