Eric, being perpetually HUNGRY, announced on Saturday morning that he would like "something good to eat" before being forced to become a slave to housework that morning.
"I'll even make the pancakes!" He so proudly endeavored. Which he did. From scratch- Not a mix!, using buttermilk, flour, eggs, baking powder. He even followed the instructions to mix only barely, so the pancakes would be light and fluffy.
(Feed the starving emaciated child first.)
And they were.
You guys have GOT to get an Eric. It is the best thing on Saturday morning EVER.

I forgot to say that Eric even provided the entertainment-- He was singing "Mamie's little babies love shortnin' shortnin', Mamies little babies love shortnin' bread" While he was pouring the batter on the griddle. (Donald Duck does that on an old cartoon we have.)
And no, they did not contain an ounce of wheat, mom. I'll stoically take the "tisk tisk".
Mmmmmmm....I love pancakes! I love waffles too. My favorite toppings are peanut butter with syrup. YUM!
Were there any "cream filled" ones? :) or black ones? Have you see "Dan In Real Life" yet? Very good! My new favorite movies to date. Makes me love Steve Correll even more. There are some black pancakes in that movie. If any of you haven't seen it you should! It's PG and I can't remember ANY bad words or naughty stuff...but sometimes we get immune to that sort of thing, don't we? Well, there are NO naughty parts and I really can't remember any bad words. Anyway...the pancakes look great!
Are you kidding me?
Cream filled? That's sick. Eric watched for the bubbles to appear, as instructed, then flipped so no doughy centers remained.
I guess I've gotta see Dan in Real Life. We saw Evan Almighty and I thought it was kid-funny and predictable, but it was still pretty cute. Eric was rolling.
I want an Eric. How much does it cost? How long before it comes? Does it have a guarantee with it? Is the reliability factor good? Grandma
