Our Winter wonderland

It snowed here last week and left us with temperatures that you can count on on hand!
(That is helpful for us Coolidge graduates.) The snow is piled up higher than our garbage cans!

Jared, Grandpa, Bruce, & the kids all made that snowfort in the backyard on Christmas Eve & it's still standing. I 'm getting tired of the constant whine "Sister Larsen, he hit me with a snowball". (Okay, half the time it is my own young uns complaining, but sheeeeeeeesh!)

Last week, I was washing the dishes and looked out our window to find several deer grazing along the trees. I dashed for my camera, called the kids to come see and cautiously opened the door- knowing full well that the moment I did the deer would scatter. I got a few blurry shots, and they bounced away. Nathan's comment cracked me up, though, "Come back rabbit".

Hey everyone, the picture doesn't do it justice! It was really really beautiful, and the snow fort was awesome. Caleb had the regular snow (not shoveled off) up to his knees and beyond. Even I tried to walk through that stuff and it was so fun.
As for the coolidge schooled offspring, it still amazes me that you can count at all!! Even on one hand. Must be my mothering skills. YEAH!!!!!!!!

Becky, the snow's great, but I think we have a serious problem here. Your son called a deer a rabbit! That's a problem. Listen I offer a 2-week short course on wildlife identification for the small price of $1599. For you, I would do the family rate of $1539. Before you know it Nathan will not only be using common names, but will include a genus, species, subspecies, and variety. It's fool proof!

WOW! We want tp come play in that snow! I bet they didn't even cancel school. We just got a dusting here yesterday and school was cancelled. It wasn't even enough for us to make a snowball :( But it was icy outside and more snow was in south salem, so that's why the cancellation. Anyway, you guys DO have a great-looking winter wonderland.....I loved those pictures!
