What you get if you're Mom's favorite

This year, Jared was really, really, really good and got (in my opinion) the "mom's favorite" present.

Not that there really exists such a thing, but this present is awesome.

Scott, remember years ago when Rick got a San Diego hat --and we all were cracking up because it just had the logo on it , "SD" ? (All you who are unaware, in our house SD stands for "stupiddummy.) And they didn't even realize/ think about the subliminal message which immediately crossed our minds. But I think he also got a gun that year- which is what he wanted.

Well, here's Jared's Korean Nativity set, extremely rare as most Koreans are only into Budda. Hand carved, intricately detailed, and absolutely stunning.

Wise Man

I love that Mary is holding Baby Jesus.

Man, that is the second coolest nativity set I have ever seen. (I will always be partial to my Guatemalan set.) Shoot, I used to think Becky got everything, now it has definately switched to Jared!! Lucky!

I love the nativity set, Jared. I like how the crib is nestled between two posts. what type of wood is it? Some Korean species?

NO Scott, The wood is called "ku sum-ham-ni-da". It's Korean for Red or cherry (which ever you choose to say)mahogany bark. Only this special type of mahogany is only found in Korea. I read it on the nativity set box. Pretty neat tho.

Karina has lost it! thats it, no more getting married for her! as for the wood, i'm not sure what it is, but i know it'll last way longer than any squatemalan wood. Thanks mom and those others that "chipped in and got me this gift."
