This one is a sidewalk repair. It will be like this for about a week, then it will look like all the rest - not any different than it was before.

Now we have a building under construction. I have no idea what all the plastic sheeting is about. It just blows in the wind and seems to have no purpose except to show the wind is blowing. Funny.

This old tree is stuck in a square container, cement of course, and just is typical of how it is done. So pretty, huh?

And that's it for today. We have a fun outing planned for tomorrow to EMBU - a little German town outside of Sao Paulo. We're going with the Shelleys. They say it is much nicer than here. We'll see. Sorry I'm not funny like Becky's posts.
Ma, I rotated your photo for ya. Love ya, Scott.
ReplyDeleteWell thanks a whole heap Scott. I knew you were good for lots of things besides drawing rocket pictures. Mom
ReplyDeleteWhat is the deal with all the grafitti everywhere? seems like everytime you post an image with buildings in it, there's grafitti...
ReplyDeleteAlso, i bet the Brazilians are a little angry that they lost the gold medal to the US Men's Volleyball team.
Scott - fyi - everywhere you look there is graffiti. It´s so sad that they can´t do anything about it here - too many gangs, not enough pride in the cleanliness of the city, and too many people to regulate. The gangs have contests to see who can get it in the most difficult places. It´s absolutely disgusting to us, when things could be so nice if they could get some pride into these kids, but when you have nothing, I guess it´s a way of expressing your defiance. Mom
ReplyDeleteScott, you're just so nice.
ReplyDeleteI like the "new look" on the blog, too.
